FAMILY & FRIENDSThis photo collection is of years of family, friends, coworkers, neighbors, and the occasional eccentric who wandered
in and somehow stayed. Some are still part of my daily orbit, some are not, some are no longer with us and have drifted into memory.
And a few, I suspect, are still wondering how they ended up in my life at all. I didn’t always choose these people like family nor did they choose
me, they arrived unannounced, like surprise guests at a dinner party. But the chemistry? Unmistakable. We’ve laughed until it hurt,
miscommunicated with theatrical contempt, swapped stories, and built something that—while often awkward—remains deeply real.
Humor has always been my compass. If you can’t laugh with someone—or at yourself—what’s the point? All these relationships remind me
that solitude isn’t the same as isolation. I live alone and love the quiet, but I still find myself haunted and occasionally heckled by
my own voices like Dick Brafford, echoing in my head like a half-remembered insane asylum. Proof that human relations leaves its
fingerprints, even when no one’s in the room. Solitude doesn’t mean silence. It just means I get control of the remote.

Father Mychal Judge
He was the first certified fatality of
the September 11 attacks. He died as he lived: ministering to
the suffering as a firefighter, patriot, and priest. As Mychal
rushed into the North Tower with firefighters, the Mayor
called out, "Father Mike, pray for us!" The priest responded,
"I always do! I always pray for you! Then After anointing a
firefighter, Father Mychal was hit by falling debris and
killed.
